Hi! I’m Dr. Sarah – a chiropractic physician with a love for fitness, nutrition, and living a natural lifestyle. My husband Adrian and I own Granite Chiropractic, located just outside of Boston. Since the age of 12 when I purchased my first food dehydrator (strange kid, I know), I’ve been deeply interested in the role that diet plays in health. I follow and promote a whole foods-based diet, and am excited to share my recipes with you.
Adrian and I built our business from scratch in 2011 with wide eyes and empty pockets. Our office was 800 square feet, with no room for private phone calls or notes. As any small business owner will tell you, the road from inception to long-term vision can be arduous and terrifying. Worrying about how to pay personal bills is bad enough, never mind paying those bills after business bills… if there is enough money left for that. The hard work paid off, and three years later we moved into a larger office with room for a massage therapist and a nutritionist. We’re not stopping there, though. Big things are always on the horizon.
Outside of work I am a CrossFitter, a runner, and a yogi, since I believe mixing up your fitness routine is important to keep your body guessing and to keep you from injury. I have climbed Mt. Washington and run 2 half-marathons, a marathon relay, and several 10k and 5k races. In my office I work with an active population of people ranging from moms keeping up with their kids to professional athletes. By helping my patients heal from injuries without drugs or surgery, they are able to return to the activities they love. I also teach my patients preventative measures to keep them healthy, whether it be proper office ergonomics or correct form during exercise. I’m happy that I will now be able to share that information with you, as well.
Thank you so much for visiting the Holistic Grail. I hope that you’ll join me on my quest for healthy living.
